It shares 'computer card' contruction and the same mixer crystals (for you 11 meter folks) as the FT-101 series radios. The FT-7 is entirely solid state and marketed as a mobile/protable radio. The FT-7B has 4 10-meter positions on the bandswitch, an AM mode and 100 watts output.
