FT-757

Above is the 'original' GX model.

This GX2 model has a slightly re-arranged front panel from the plain GX. That's because the mode selector was changed from a rotary switch on the GX to an electronic switch on the GX2 to enable mode to be stored in the memory channels and available to computer control. The AM and FM modes were standard equipment, unlike lower end models. The FT 757 was also build under the Sommerkamp label and was sold very well all over Europe and Africa under the Soka-label. as far as I remeber ... it was the first with a very simple wideband modification... the wideband was just one switch away.... hi hi hi
