A brandnew radio, born early 2013. Shown first time at Dayton 2012. So different to all other Yaesu equipment before.

The GUI to the radio is very different....

Some minor topics need to be changed by Yaesu with one of the next software release i.e. the knob control of SSB power. Just now you have to enter the menue each and every time...and for each band different. So nice to have all the setups, but a simple power knob would be more helpful

The radio offers a lot of options, first I know with a USB port. I am sure we will see some interesting 3rd party developments around the USB port. At least the USB driver was released with delivery and is available from the YAESU web page.
